Booking with South West Dog Skills is quick and straightforward. Sessions such as, agility, workshops, peACEful walks and online courses, can be booked and paid for online in a couple of clicks. For 1-2-1 training and our ACE packages, we start with a short initial call so we can tailor everything to you and your dog.

Book online
Choose the type of session you're after and you'll go straight to our secure booking system, where you can see what's available and reserve your place. Please make sure you check out fully — you'll receive an email confirmation of your booking. If it doesn't arrive, the booking hasn't gone through.
1-2-1 training & ACE packages
Our one-to-one sessions and ACE packages (Puppy, Adolescent and Canine) are built entirely around you and your individual dog — so they start with a short initial call rather than an online booking. Tell us a bit about your dog and what you'd like to work on, and we'll take it from there.
How booking works
- Choose your session. Book a session online above, or request an initial call for 1-2-1 and ACE work.
- Reserve your place. For sessions listed above, complete the short booking form and pay securely by card — you'll get an immediate confirmation email.
- Come prepared. Ahead of your session you'll receive a short welcome note covering the venue, what to bring, and anything specific to your booking.
- Meet Matt. Sessions are led by Matt Donovan, an ACE Advanced Tutor, using positive, science-led, force-free methods.

- Your dog on a comfortable harness or well-fitting collar, with a standard (non-extendable) lead
- A generous supply of small treats that your dog loves
- Water for your dog, especially in warmer weather
- A mat or towel for your dog to settle on
- Poo bags
Bookings, payments & cancellations
- Payment for sessions is made at the time of booking and is not transferable to other sessions. A substitute delegate may be named at any time before the session at no additional cost, as long as they meet the conditions of the session.
- Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you may cancel your purchase within 14 days of placing your booking. However, there is no right of cancellation where the activity begins within that 14-day period.
- Cancellations must be made in writing by email. If the cancellation falls within 14 days of your booking date we will refund you, minus a £5 admin fee. There is no right of cancellation where the activity begins within this 14-day period.
- The minimum notice to re-arrange a one-to-one session is 14 days.
- If you have a bitch, we strongly advise you plan sessions around her season, as we cannot refund your place if your dog comes into season.
- We are not able to give discounts if you cannot attend every week of a course; the set fee for the course or activity needs to be paid.
- We are not able to refund places if sessions move to online provision due to unforeseen circumstances.
