Our dog agility classes near Bristol and Bath are run from our coaching centre in Hunstrete. They focus on building the bond between dog and owner, growing your dog's confidence with agility equipment, and providing a relaxed, enjoyable experience for both of you. Beginners are always welcome — most people come to us with no agility experience at all.
Classes consist of running whole courses, incorporating several pieces of equipment, as well as working on shorter sequences designed to aid progression, whilst always meeting the dogs individual needs. All courses are mixed ability and we tailor what we ask each dog to do depending on their experience. Beginners are always welcome! You are welcome to complete our agility courses as many times as you wish as we structure the content to suit your learning level.

Where our agility classes run
Our agility classes take place at the South West Dog Skills Centre in Hunstrete, on the Bristol–Bath border. If you’re searching for dog agility near you, we’re around half an hour from central Bristol and twenty minutes from Bath, with free parking on site.
People travel to us from Bristol, Bath, Keynsham, Whitchurch, Pensford, Chew Magna, Saltford, Paulton, Clutton and the surrounding villages. Most come because of how we run our classes rather than because we’re the closest field on the map.
New to agility? Beginners are welcome
Most people who join us have never done agility before, and plenty have never been to a class of any kind. Our courses are mixed ability and we tailor what we ask of each dog to their experience, so there’s no catching up to do. You don’t need any equipment and you don’t need to have taught your dog anything in advance.
Dog agility in Bristol
Plenty of our agility regulars come from Bristol — Whitchurch, Brislington, Hengrove and the south of the city are all an easy run out to us. We’re not in Bristol itself, and we’d rather be straight about that: we’re around half an hour from the centre, at a proper coaching centre with space to run full courses rather than a shared field or a village hall.
Dog agility in Bath
We’re closer to Bath than we are to Bristol — around twenty minutes from the city centre, and easy to reach from Saltford, Newton St Loe, Peasedown and Bradford-on-Avon. All our agility courses run from the coaching centre at Hunstrete.
Our venues
We run dog training sessions and workshops from two venues serving Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset. Agility runs at our coaching centre in Hunstrete; our other training venue is Tilley Farm in Farmborough. Both are within easy reach of Longwell Green, Bradford-on-Avon, Shepton Mallet, Radstock and Midsomer Norton as well as Bristol and Bath.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Dogs must be over 1 year old to take part in agility classes (or up to 18 months for large breeds), as well as being medically fit - if your dog has a medical condition but your vet confirms it is safe for them to take part in agility we will need a note from the vet to confirm this.
Our group agility classes are not suitable for dogs with aggressive tendencies towards people or dogs.

Our agility courses run over six weeks and cost £90. You're welcome to repeat a course as many times as you like — we structure the content to suit your learning level.
How old does my dog need to be for agility?
Dogs need to be over 1 year old to take part, as their joints need to be developed before any jumping or equipment work. Larger breeds may need to be 18 months. If you're not sure whether your dog is ready, please get in touch.
